Position Details
Position Title: Technical Consultant – Cloud Computing
Number of Vacancies: 01 (One)
Location: UIDAI Technology Centre, Kodigehalli, Bangalore
Contract Type: Full-time contractual engagement
Tenure: Initially for three years, extendable by two additional years based on performance.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit:
- Candidates should not exceed 62 years of age on the date of this advertisement.
Educational Qualifications:
- B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech / MCA from a recognized institution.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT and related fields.
- Proven expertise in leading OpenStack cloud technology transformation or migration.
- Demonstrated experience in building and managing large-scale on-premise cloud architectures.
- Hands-on experience in the design, development, automation, operations, and security of cloud computing systems.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Cloud Architecture Management:
- Supervise UIDAI’s OpenStack on-premise private cloud architecture.
- Develop and periodically review cloud strategies and high-level design documents.
- Cloud Optimization:
- Lead cloud operations to fine-tune and optimize platforms for performance and cost efficiency.
- Drive automation in cloud management tasks and orchestrations.
- Security and Governance:
- Coordinate with security architects to ensure robust cloud privacy and security.
- Establish and review cloud governance policies to meet industry regulations and standards.
- Guidance and Collaboration:
- Provide expertise in application migration and infrastructure movement to the cloud.
- Offer guidance to cross-functional teams on accessing and managing cloud data.
- Operational Excellence:
- Proactively ensure smoother cloud operations with minimal downtime.
- Supervise cloud teams in meeting operational goals and implementing industry best practices.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist in any other cloud-related activities as assigned by UIDAI.
General Conditions
- Whole-time Engagement: Consultants must dedicate their full time to UIDAI and cannot take up employment elsewhere during the contract period.
- Probation Period: Onboarding consultants will undergo a probationary period of six months, extendable at UIDAI’s discretion.
- Performance Review: Continuation of the contract depends on annual performance reviews against predefined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Termination: UIDAI reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time without prior notice.
